The challenge

The launch show for the new Mercedes-Benz Axor trucks, with Ernesto Pombo: nineteen animated pieces across seven screens, synced to the music, an aerial acrobatics act and a light and laser show. Above, the mockup we used to plan the show and the live event, on the same clock.

Seven screens, one image

A wide main screen over the stage, where the trucks were revealed, and six vertical totems, three on each side of the room. Before animating anything, we built a mockup of the venue with every screen in place, so each piece could be designed as one image across the whole room and not screen by screen.

From the mockup to the show

All nineteen pieces were animated and timed on the mockup against the final music: the lines that travel from totem to totem, the truck drawings on the main screen, the moments that leave room for the acrobat and the lasers. Then each piece was split into one output per screen and played live, locked to the same timeline.

The full show, cut to the music

Two minutes of the night, cutting between the mockup and the live event on the beats of the track.
